Five things to know today.

Five Things You Need to Know Today" is a Patch column that provides readers with essential, daily information at a glance.

Today is Monday, April 22. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Sunny but cooler: Looks like a nice day but not as warm as it has been. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 52 degrees. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 36 degrees.
  • Public meetings: The Board of Selectmen is meeting at 7 p.m. in the main hearing room at Town Hall. The Ways & Means Subcommittee on the Planning Board is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Planning Department in the Town Hall Annex.
  • Schools in session: April vacation has come to an end for Burlington Public Schools. Be aware that students will be walking to school and bus stops during your morning and afternoon commutes.
  • Story and craft: The Burlington Public Library is holding an "After School Story & Craft" event at 3:45 p.m. today for children in grades K-3. Click here for more information.
  • Helicopter spraying: A reminder that a helicopter will be used to spray for mosquitoes until April 25. If you see a low-flying helicopter that will likely be the reason. See this story for further information.
