Breaking and Entering Reported, Woman Attacked by a Wild Turkey

Sunday, June 8
- At 12:20 a.m. a caller said there was a loud gathering at a Mountain Road residence. Police spoke to the mother and daughter and everyone was kept inside with the windows closed for the night.
- At 3:48 a.m. an attempted breaking and entering was called in on Wellesley Ave. Police checked the area but could not locate the subjects. Evidence was recovered at the scene and a detective responded to the area.
- At 8:15 a.m. a motor vehicle crash occurred on Locust Street. A Woburn driver was summonsed for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to wear a seatbelt.
- At 11:17 p.m. a woman told police she was attacked from behind by a large wild turkey on Dolores Drive. The caller declined medical attention and just wanted the incident logged.
- At 3:27 p.m. a detail officer reported a man selling flowers during the Burlington High School graduation. The man was advised not to do this.
- At 6:33 p.m. an ambulance was called to the Macy’s first floor bathroom. A person was transported to the hospital by the Bedford Fire Department.

- At 9:16 a.m. Burlington Day Care reported that people are going over the fence into their play area over the weekend.
- At 9:34 a.m. a Makechnie Road caller said he had a bobcat near his house. The animal turned out to be a raccoon in the attic of the garage.
- At 3:16 p.m. a Mall Road caller reported a resident injured in the hallway of the third floor. The patient was transported to Lahey Clinic via ambulance.
- At 5:20 p.m. police arrested Daniel Menjivar, 18, of 226 Washington Ave., Chelsea, on an outstanding warrant.
- At 6:04 p.m. police towed a vehicle on Winn Street and arrested Jillian L. Martin, 33, of 23 Meadow Bank, Billerica, on an outstanding warrant.
- At 10:40 p.m. a woman from Mallard Way called to report an incident that occurred this morning. A Burlington business arrived to her home for a scheduled appointment and treated her home, wearing a company uniform and driving a van with the company label on it. However, about a half hour later a different man knocked on the door and said he was with the same company. This man was not wearing a uniform and was driving an unmarked vehicle. The woman closed the door and called the company to see if he was an employee. The company said the man did not work for them. The woman kept the door closed and asked him to leave. He said he would give her a card if she opened the door, but she refused. The man returned to his vehicle and sat there for more than 20 minutes before leaving the area.
