The 2024 MA Ballot Questions 1,2,& 4 Endorsed by Burlington Democratic Town Committee

Burlington, MA - The Burlington Democratic Town Committee is proud to announce after DTC's monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd, the DTC members unanimously voted endorsing the following 2024 Ballot Questions!

Question 1: Law Proposed by Initiative Petition - State Auditor's Authority to Audit the Legislature. The Burlington DTC endorsed a YES vote, authorizing the State Auditor to audit the MA Legislature.

Question 2: Law Proposed by Initiative Petition - Elimination of MCAS as High School Graduation Requirement. The Burlington DTC endorsed a YES vote giving authorization to eliminate the requirement students pass the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System commonly known as (MCAS) in order to graduate high school but still require students to complete course- work that meets state standards.

Question 4: Law Proposed by Initiative Petition - Limited Legalization and Regulation of Certain Natural Psychedelic Substances. The Burlington DTC endorsed a YES vote, allowing persons over the age of 21 to use certain natural psychedelic substances under licensed supervision and to grow and possess limited quantities of those substances in their home, and would create a commission to regulate those substances.

Deadlines: Voter Registration deadline is October 26th. Vote by Mail Application deadline is October 29th.

Polling Hours: Election Day, November 5th from 7AM-8PM.
