Burlington Driver Uninjured In Crash Into Pole

The crash knocked out power in a small area near I-95 in Burlington, police said.

BURLINGTON, MA — A driver managed to avoid injury early Friday morning when police said the driver crashed into a utility pole on Winn Street in Burlington.

Police announced the crash around 2:20 a.m., saying it had taken place on a section of Winn Street near where the road intersects with I-95.

The driver hit a pole in the area but was not injured, police said.

The crash did draw an emergency response and knock out power to a small area around the crash site, according to police.

Crews remained on scene as of 2:20 a.m.

Elsewhere, the overnight hours saw a water main break at the intersection of Carey Avenue and Marion Road near Pine Haven Cemetery. The Water Department responded to that incident, according to police.

The water main break also took place around 2:30 a.m., police said.
