Burlington Health Fair Will Feature Demonstrations, Screenings, Fun
The event will have over 60 exhibitors, free health exams, and demonstrations and classes featuring tai chi, barre, yoga and Zumba.

BURLINGTON, MA — The Burlington Board of Health is inviting people of all ages to this weekend's 2023 Burlington Community Health Fair, which will feature 60 exhibitors, health screenings, fitness demonstrations and free raffles.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Burlington High School, located at 123 Cambridge St. The Burlington Community Health Fair is sponsored by Beth Israel Lahey Health.
"Last year's event was outside on the Burlington Common and was well received by the community. I'm hoping this event is even better," Michael Greene, associate director of Public Health for the Town of Burlington, told Patch. "We have more vendors and raffles and, similar to last year's event, we've collaborated with the Burlington Recreation Department to provide exercise demonstrations and complimentary classes."

The demonstrations will include: QiGong Breathing and Tai Chi (10 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.), Classic Barre (10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.), Boxing (11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.) and Barbell Training (11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.), while the complimentary classes will be: Yoga Barre Blend (10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.) and Zumba (12:30 to 1 p.m.).
Among the free health services scheduled to be offered during the fair are: posture and balance screenings, vascular ultrasound screenings, eye exams and advice about fitness and nutrition and injury prevention.

"The Burlington Board of Health would like for folks interested in health, wellness and fitness to come down and bring their families to Burlington High School for the 2023 Community Health Fair," Greene said. "I'm really excited to see how well the community receives (the event) this year and hope to see (everyone) on Saturday."
