Burlington To Hold Flu Vaccine Clinic

Vaccines are available to patients of all ages by appointment only.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington community members needing a flu shot will have a chance to get one next month at a planned Burlington Board of Health flu clinic.

The event is set for Oct. 22 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Elementary School at 125 Winn Street in town.

The town announced plans for the clinic this week, offering standard vaccines for children and adults as well as high dose vaccine for individuals over the age of 65.

The CDC recommends that individuals get vaccinated against the flu in either September or October to maximize protection during the height of flu season.

All children and adults are eligible for a vaccine at next month’s clinic, regardless of insurance status.

Children under age 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian, though. Vaccine recipients should additionally wear a loose-fitting short sleeve shirt, if possible.
