Burlington Police Arrest Man on Charges Releated to Identiy and Credit Card Fraud
The arrest was made following a fraud complaint by Nordstrom's.

The Burlington Police Department have arrested a New York man on charges related to credit card fraud following a complaint from a store in the Burlington Mall.
According to a release, on Saturday May 25 at approximately 7:45 p.m. the Burlington Police Department was called to investigate the fraudulent application and use of a credit card at Nordstrom’s at the Burlington Mall.
Officer Kevin Cooney and Sgt. Gerard McDonough responded and thier investigation revealed that a male party possessed a counterfeit Washington driver’s license and had used it to successfully open a Nordstrom’s credit account. The suspect also had in his possession several credit cards with his name on the card but the credit information of another party attached to the magnetic strip, police say.

Credit information for parties from Japan, England, and the United States were included on these cards.
Police arrested Noe Reina-Delacruz from Bronx, N.Y. and he was charged with forgery of a document (2 counts), uttering a fale document (2 counts), identify fraud, credit card fraud over $250, receiving a stolen credit card and making a false statement to obtain a credit card.

Following the arrest, Officer Cooney applied for and was granted a search warrant for Delacruz’s vehicle, the release states. The subsequent search revealed that Delacruz also had a counterfeit Pennsylvania driver’s license and opened a credit account with Toys R’ Us with that information.
Burlington police say this case serves as a reminder to all to monitor your credit by checking your credit report often. This can be done by contacting the three major credit reporting bureaus.
