Reports of Pushy and Rude Solicitors, Dog Left Inside Vehicle Prompts Argument
The following are Burlington Police Department log entries from August 19 to 20.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, August 19-
- At 5:42 a.m. a Carter Road caller reported someone placed tires in the roadway overnight.
- At 9:47 a.m. a Hampden Avenue caller reported someone took her trash can on August 15.
- At 3:51 p.m. a Birch Street caller said a suspicious male was leering at her young daughter as he drove by twice.
- At 5:47 p.m. a Network Drive caller reported a white male was working on a lamp post in the area and when he saw the caller he went into the woods to hide. Police spoke to the male who was geo-caching.
- At 12:09 p.m. a Barnes & Noble manager reported a vehicle parked in the lot with a dog inside. Vehicle was gone when vehicle arrived. Employees said dog looked distress and there was a verbal altercation between driver and employees.
- At 2:42 p.m. a Jessica Drive caller reported an aggressive solicitor in the area.
- At 3:49 p.m. a Mulberry Lane caller reported a white truck drove over his lawn causing damage. The caller was quoted $30 by a landscaper to fix it.
- At 4:41 p.m. police put a Woburn resident into protective custody after a caller at Burton's Grill reported a possibly intoxicated female walking around the area.
- At 5:45 p.m. a Paulson Drive caller reported a solicitor was extremely pushy with his wife and argued when asked to leave. Police spoke to the solicitor and confirmed she was registered. They also advised her on her conduct.
- At 7:59 p.m. a Harvard Avenue reported that two male solicitors were rude to his girlfriend and yelled at her. Police spoke to the men and said there had been complaints and that they are not allowed to solicit after dark.
