Burlington Police: Son Reported Mother's Rings Stolen at Hospital; Shoplifter; Warrant Arrest

BURLINGTON, Ma. - Excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Monday, Nov. 23

At 9:28 a.m., lost property reported. Cambridge Street caller reported that he lost his wallet last night around 9. Inside the wallet was a Massachusetts driver’s license, a bank card, a green card and a social security card. He was advised to cancel the bank card and to come to the station to complete an ID Theft Packet as a precaution. As of Nov. 23, none of the items in the wallet had been used.

At 2:59 p.m., two-vehicle accident with injuries in the area of Bedford Street and Middlesex Turnpike. One person was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

At 10:30 a.m., theft reported at Forever 21. Store manager reported having multiple items stolen, including nine mannequin’s hair pieces. (Not for sale. Display only). Unknown when thefts occurred.

At 3:42 p.m., theft reported. Male party reports his mother’s rings were stolen while at area hospital.

At 3:44 p.m. warrant arrest on Phillip Avenue. Edward D. Frasca, 29, of Burlington, arrested on an outstanding warrant.

At 5:12 p.m. motor vehicle stop in area of St. Malachy’s Catholic Church on Bedford Street. Chanmony Charlie Tung, 45, of Lowell, issued a summs for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, unregistered motor vehicle and uninsured motor vehicle.

At 7:48 p.m., theft reported at Ski Haus. Reporting party stated a male wearing a gray hooded jacket walked out of the store setting off the security sensors. When store employees attempted to stop him, he fled into a white Toyota and headed towards the highway. Located subject. $199 jacket stolen.

At 10:51 p.m., house fire reported on Mill Street. Fire extinguished.

Wednesday, Nov. 25

At 4:40 p.m., suspicious activity reported in Simonds Park area. Chevy pick-up truck with several items in the back. Truck picked up a mattress in area, and parked in the park to take their dog for a walk. He was sent on his way.

Thursday, Nov. 26

At 9:56 p.m., noise complaint on Arboretum Way. Caller reported noise from one of her neighbors. She is unsure of what apartment the noise is coming from. Noise was loud music in area; officer asked resident to turn music down.

Friday, Nov. 27

At 10:30 a.m., animal complaint on Keans Road. A female party requested to speak to an officer regarding a loose dog that attacked her dog while walking in the area of Memorial School. Her dog was not injured. The suspect dog and owners were no longer in the area. The woman was advised to contact the Animal Control regarding the leash law complaint.
