Burlington Positive Test Rate Hits 7.7%, Town Remains High Risk
The town added over 200 cases in the last two weeks, according to the latest state data.
BURLINGTON, MA — Over seven percent of Burlington coronavirus tests have been positive over the last two weeks, according to the latest state report.
The town had a 7.7 percent positive test rate, up from 7.6 last week. The town added 226 cases over two weeks and remains high risk for the virus.
The latest cases bring the town to 1,124 cases since March, according to the state.

The latest state town-by-town report designated 219 cities and towns as high risk for the coronavirus in the latest community-level report Thursday, putting nearly two-thirds of the state's 351 communities in the red category.
The statewide positive test rate fell to 7.8 percent, down from 8.7 percent on Jan. 1 but still above the level a month ago, 6.2 percent.

There were 7,136 new confirmed cases and 71 deaths Thursday.
