Burlington Star Student Is Enthusiastic Learner, In Many School Clubs

BURLINGTON, MA — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we're working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Minal Shingavi, who nominated Anish of Burlington. Anish works hard in school — especially in Math — and is very involved in extra-curricular activities.

He is my son

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

He is a very enthusiastic learner and loves Math. He wakes up early in the morning so he can practice Math before heading to school. He does before-school and after-school clubs like Ukulele Club, Running Club, Book Club, Math Olympiad and Robotics Club.

Outside of school, Amish does karate, swimming and soccer and also attends a Hindi language and culture school on Sundays
