WAKEFIELD, MA — The family of a missing man is asking for the community's support to help bring him home safely.

Jason Thomas, 45, went missing Friday, Dec. 12, according to police.

Brianna Florovito and Katherine Biggar started a fundraiser on GoFundMe in an effort to help find Thomas.

"Our family is living every loved one’s worst nightmare," the fundraising appeal reads. "My brother-in-Law, Jason Thomas is missing, and we are doing everything we possibly can to find him and bring him home safely."

She described Thomas as "a devoted husband to his wife of 10 years" and a "fantastic uncle."

Thomas is approximately 5'06",and 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white and grey/black puffer-style jacket, black pants, black sneakers with white laces, a black winter hat, and gloves.

"While local authorities are involved, we have reached a point where we need additional help," the GoFundMe reads. "We are raising funds to hire a licensed private investigator who can dedicate focused time, resources, and expertise to finding Jason."

As of Tuesday afternoon, over $36,000 had been raised.
