Burlington Teachers Team Up to Make Prosthetic for Young Boy
Marshall Simmonds Middle School science teacher Jourdan Marino and technology education teacher Kevin Kille worked together to create a prosthetic hand.
A pair of Burlington teachers completed a special homework assignment recently that will go a long way in changing the life of a Medford boy.
Fox 25 reported earlier this week that Marshall Simmonds Middle School science teacher Jourdan Marino and technology education teacher Kevin Kille worked together to create a prosthetic hand for an eight-year-old boy named Frankie from Medford.
After several prototypes, Kille and Marino came across a version of the hand that worked for Frankie, and they are now working to come up with a second hand to serve as a back up in case the initial hand falters, Fox 25 reported.
