There is a vacancy for one of the 18 seats representing Precinct 7 in Burlington. The precinct includes a large portion of Burlington, including the entirety of the town's border with Lexington and much of the border with Woburn. The Town Meeting seat is open to residents living within Precinct 7 who are otherwise eligible to serve in public office.

An individual appointed to fill this role will have the chance to serve at least until the next town election, at which point they will have to run for re-election and win to keep their Town Meeting seat.
