Burlington Wegmans Announces Opening Day

The newest location of the grocery store and dining location will open this October, and the company is hiring about 400 part-time workers.

Burlington residents have known for some time that Wegmans is coming to town. As of Monday, they now know exactly when it will be.

Wegmans Food Markets announced on Monday that its grand opening date will be Sunday, October 26 at 7 a.m.

In addition, the company said that it will be looking to hire a significant amount of part-time employees for the Burlington store in the coming weeks and months.

There will be a total of 400 positions hired in the near future, with about 200 full-time jobs already filled.

Just the third location in the state, Wegmans will open its Burlington “shopping and dining destination” in town to join Northborough and Chestnut Hill as the state’s other stores.

The company will be hosting open interview days this month at the Wegmans Employment Office at 71 3rd Ave. in Burlington.

Dates for interviews are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 15, and Saturday, Aug. 16, from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. There will also be interviews conducted on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. For more details, visit the Wegmans careers page.

In addition, applications can also apply online or call 1-877-WEGMANS for more information. Applications are not available at the construction site, and those interviews will be conducted by appointment only.
