Burlington Woman Found Dead After Search, Foul Play Not Suspected

The body of Kaylin Rose, 49, was found Saturday in Wilmington a day after police said she was missing. No cause of death has been given.

BURLINGTON, MA — A cause of death has yet to be announced after the body of a 49-year-old Burlington woman was found Saturday, though authorities said they do not suspect foul play.

Kaylin Rose's body was found in a conservation land area in Wilmington, according to WCVB. Burlington Police Chief Thomas Browne told the station that somebody walking in the woods had spotted the body.

The Burlington Police Department announced the news of Rose's death just after 1 p.m. Saturday. The department said foul play was not suspected, though the Medical Examiner would determine the cause of death. As of Tuesday, no information about the cause of death had been provided.

On Friday, the Burlington PD announced on social media that Rose had been reported missing, and the department made a plea for information about her whereabouts.

The department said Rose had left her home near Cambridge Street and Skilton Lane Friday morning or early afternoon.

The Burlington PD said the search included the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) Regional Response Team, K9 units, the Massachusetts State Police Airwing, all-terrain vehicles and the mountain bike unit.

The department thanked those units for their assistance in the search.
