Christine Monaco Will Continue Good Stewardship Of School Committee: Letter
"She carries important institutional knowledge that allows for decisions to be made taking into account what has worked or not in the past."

The following was submitted by Town Meeting member John Iler:
Dear Editor,
Who we elect to the Burlington School Committee is very consequential. The School Committee oversees the education of approximately 3500 students and almost half of Burlington's budget. Re-electing Christine Monaco will help ensure continued good stewardship by this committee.

As a member of Ways & Means, I have participated in over 50 School Committee meetings with Ms. Monaco. As a result, I can see first hand how she handles the Committee member job. She carries important institutional knowledge that allows for decisions to be made taking into account what has worked or not in the past. With family members at every level of schooling in Burlington (and college), being served by both regular and special education, Ms. Monaco has a personal interest in keeping all facets of our school system performing at their best. She is very open to input, and is responsive to public queries via social media, email, phone calls, and during meetings.
Burlington is fortunate to have someone dedicated to our school system over so many years that remains an active and essential part of guiding our schools. Please join me and give one of your votes to re-elect Christine Monaco to the Burlington School Committee.
