Counterfeit Bills Used to Buy $700 of Victoria's Secret Lingerie
Burlington police arrest Worcester man, search continues for second suspect.

BURLINGTON -- At first, Victoria's Secret store security thought the two men who walked into the Burlington Mall store on Monday were shoplifting after they randomly selected sexy undergarments without looking at size or style, Burlington police allege.
But then the men, one of who has been identified as Gomex Gbesorgbor, 42, of Worcester, walked up to the register and plunked down $700 - four $50 bills and five $100 bills - to pay for their purchases.
After the men left, store security scanned the bills using a counterfeit bill indicator. The results? They were all fake.

While notifying the Burlington police, store security followed the men through the mall, when they suddenly began to walk fast. Gbesorgbor, the slower of the two men, was detained until police arrived, but the other unidentified man fled.
In Woburn District Court on Tuesday, Gbesorgbor was released on $500 cash bail after pleading not guilty to: uttering a counterfeit note (two counts); possession of a counterfeit note; larceny over $250 and larceny under $250.

As part of his release, Gbesorgbor is banned from the Burlington Mall. He is scheduled for a pretrial conference on March 31.
Burlington police examined a $100 bogus bill that had the "look and feel'' of a 2004-style bill, but the 3D Security ribbon was not reacting to movement and there was no security threat imbedded, police allege.
Gbesorgbor allegedy told police he didn't know the bills for fake and that he had been "tricked.''
Gbesorgbor failed to provide police with his alleged accomplice's name, claiming he didn't know him well.
Police say they recovered $1,270 in counterfeit money and $848.37 worth of merchandise.
The U.S. Secret Service is assisting Burlington Police with this investigation.
Burlington Police are searching for the second suspect involved in the incident.
