Holocaust Survivor Speaking Today Followed by First-Ever Exhibit of Anti-Semitic Postcards

Today is Friday, April 5. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Partly sunny, warm: Looks like the nice Spring weather will continue today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect partly sunny skies with a high temperature near 57 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 29 degrees. 
  • Absentee ballots: Today at noon is the deadline to apply for an absentee ballot for the Town Election on Saturday. Click here fore more information. 
  • Interfaith Holocaust Memorial Service: Temple Shalom Emeth is holding the service at 7:30 p.m. Holocaust Survivor Edgar Krasa will speak during this moving service, featuring candles memorializing those killed during this tragic time. Susie Davidson, author of the book The Music Man of Terezin will speak with him. Following the service, the first-ever exhibit of anti-Semitic postcards will be displayed.
  • Pisco Porton tasting: Busa Wine & Spirits is holding a Pisco Porton tasting from 4 to 6 p.m. today. "This balanced and structured liqueur goes down velvety smooth, with the taste of tropical fruits like bananas and mangos and finishes with a hint of chocolate."
  • Quilting: The Burlington Public Library is hosting the Quilt Club today from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The group is open to anyone and is for people who love quilting and want to share ideas with friends.
