Interfaith Gathering To Remember and Help Marathon Victims Tomorrow
Burlington's spiritual leaders are coming together for an interfaith gathering on the Town Commons tomorrow and is inviting the public to attend, honor and support the marathon bombing victims.
Spiritual leaders in Burlington are inviting the public for an interfaith community gathering in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing.
The gathering will be held on the Burlington Town Commons tomorrow, Saturday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m.
"Several local clergy from Burlington congregations will lead a prayer service in remembrance of the Boston Marathon Bombings," explained Rev. Angela Wells of the United Church of Christ Congregational. "It will be a time to mourn those who lost their lives, to pray for healing for those who were injured, and to offer our support to the friends and families of all who were directly affected."

During the gathering there will be an opportunity to sign cards which will be given to the families of the victims, as well as an opportunity to contribute to The One Fund, which will go directly to support the people most affected by the attacks.
"We will gather as a community to remember this tragic event but also to be reminded that there is hope amidst the darkness, and we will carry on as a community, stronger than before," Wells said. "Please join us for this important event."
