Adventure Book Club - Thursday, January 12, 6:30-7:30 pm This month’s book: “The Maze of Bones” by Rick Riordan. Join Mary for book chat, snacks, and a fun related challenge. Earn a badge for reading the book! Dads (or Moms) are welcome but not required! Pick up the book at the YS desk-- For grades 3-6
Teen Lounge - Fridays, January 13, 20, and 27, from 2:30-4:30 pm Join Nicole for games, crafts, snacks, you name it.

Book Buddies Reading Mentors Program - Wednesday, January 18, 7-7:30 pm For children from preschool age to second grade. Participants are paired with teen buddies who will read aloud to them.

Adult Coloring Group – Monday, January 23, 6:30-8:00 Did you resolve to take up a hobby? Do you remember how much fun you had and how relaxing it was to color when you were younger? You might just consider the Adult Coloring Group.
Friends Annual Meeting and Nathalia Holt, author of Rise of the Rocket Girls– Monday, January 23 at 7:00PM
Join the Friends of the Library for the annual meeting to learn what the Friends have done this past year and what they have planned for the upcoming year. All members are encouraged to attend. If you are not a member, come learn more about our great “Friends” and how they support the library. Join the group and take a chance on winning a raffle basket that includes a gift card to Tuscan Kitchen.
Immediately following the brief annual meeting, this month’s evening program will take place with author Nathalia Holt. She will be talking about her New York Times bestseller, Rise of the Rocket Girls”, written about the women who helped transform NASA. Learn about the elite group of women in the 40’s and 50’s who broke gender and science boundaries and impacted the history of U.S. space travel. Join us to learn more.
Blood Pressure Screening
The Burlington Public Library and the Board of Health have been partnering to bring additional blood pressure screening to our community. A change in hours will begin in February. A nurse will be available on the second Tuesday of the month from 10:00-11:00am and on the fourth Thursday of the month from 6:30-7:30pm. To take advantage of this free screening visit the Adult Fiction Area on the first floor of the library.
