The following are Burlington Police Department log entries from August 17.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, August 17-

  • At 12:48 a.m. a Hallmark Gardens caller reported a male passed out in the doorway. It was an intoxicated male who was taken care of by a roommate.
  • At 3:51 a.m. a Locust Street caller reported a vehicle struck a boulder and drove away.
  • At 11:21 p.m. police arrested two females after Nodstrom reported detaining to shoplifters. A male party fled the scene in a vehicle. Police arrested Maxima Parkinson, 28, of 12 Pope Street, Apartment 303, Salem, on a charge of larceny over $250. Police also arrested Melanie Lopresti-Potenza, 37, homeless from Lynn, on a charge of larceny over $250.
  • At 12:52 p.m. police issued a summons to a Billerica woman on a charge of assault. Summons issued after a caller her daughter was in an outrage following a disturbance between her daughter and her boyfriend.
  • At 2:23 p.m. police issued a summons to a Burlington woman on a charge of assault and battery. Summons issued after a caller reported his sister injured his hand.
  • At 5:54 p.m. Victoria's Secret reported that 45 bras valued at $48 a piece were stolen sometime since noon. $2,160 value.
