Man Wanted for Multiple Thefts, Including Burlington, Arrested in Concord
The 44-year-old man is also listed on the Boston Police Department's most-wanted list.

CONCORD, MA - A Weymouth man, who is a suspect in multiple thefts in eastern Massachusetts communities, including Burlington, is scheduled to be arraigned on larceny charge on Monday in Concord District Court.
Steven Stanley, 44, of Weymouth, was arrested on Friday for larceny over a building, and larceny over $250, according to Concord Police Chief Joseph O’Connor
On Thursday, Jan. 9, an employee from Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, 330 Baker Ave., notified the police department that several pairs of high-end eyeglass frames were stolen from the business. The reporting party provided detectives with a detailed description of the suspect and surveillance video from the business.

Police identified the man in the video as Stanley on Friday.
At the same time, the Acton Police Department broadcasted a radio message to area police departments informing them that two suspects entered an optometry practice in town and began acting suspiciously, leading employees to believe they were attempting to steal eyeglass frames. The suspects then left the area and were last seen driving toward Concord.

Concord Police Department received a second report that two individuals, matching the description from those in the Acton broadcast, had entered another optometry practice and were acting suspiciously before they were confronted by employees and left the business.
Two Concord detectives saw a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle. Two individuals in the vehicle matched the description of the suspects outlined in the earlier radio broadcast.
Police determined that one of the suspects, Stanley, was the man involved in the eyeglass frame larceny from Concord on Jan. 8. He was arrested and transported to the Concord police station.
Stanley was also found to have nine open warrants for his arrest on similar charges. He was also listed on the Boston Police Department’s most-wanted list.
- Boston Police Department: Two warrants for larceny over $250.
- Burlington Police Department: Warrant for unarmed robbery, assault and battery, larceny over $250 and organized retail theft.
- Braintree Police Department: Two warrants for assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and larceny over $250.
- Randolph Police Department: Warrant for larceny over $250.
- Wrentham Police Department: Warrant for larceny over $250.
- Natick Police Department: Two warrants for three counts of larceny over $250 and assault and battery (two counts).
Chief O’Connor and the Concord Police thanked the Massachusetts Fusion Center, the Boston Police Department’s Regional Intelligence Center, the Acton Police for their assistance in identifying Stanley.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
