New Ice Skating Rink Open to the Public
Beautiful new ice skating rink ready for recreational skating.

BURLINGTON, MA - Mother Nature is cooperating and it’s time to ice skate.
The maintenance guys from the town’s Recreation Department built a good-sized skating rink for residents to use this winter.
“These guys did a great job,” said Brendan Egan, director of Parks and Recreation.

This is the second attempt in recent years to provide a public ice skating rink. Last year’s rink was built in the parking lot at the Mary P,C. Cummings Estate.
“The first weekend we got 20 inches of snow,” Egan said. And the huge snowstorms went on for several more weekends, burying the rink last year, Egan said.
The rink was constructed in November, and the liner was put in and filled with water last week.
There are no set hours at this time, and open to all ages.
