Nomination Papers Available For the Burlington Annual Town Election

BURLINGTON, MA - Are you interested in running for an open seat in Burlington’s Annual Town Election?

Nomination papers are available in the Town Clerk’s office for anyone wishing to run for an open seat. The deadline to take out nomination papers is 5 p.m. Feb. 18. The election will be held on April 9.

Burlington residents will cast ballots for:

• Town Clerk -- 5-year term
• Moderator -- 1-year-term
• Selectmen -- 3-year-term (2 seats)
• Assessor --3-year-term
• Treasurer/Collector -- 3-year term
• School Committee -- 3-year term (2 seats)
• Library Trustees -- 3-year term (2 seats)
• Planning Board -- 5-year term
• Board of Health --3-year term (2 seats)
• Constable --3-year term (2 seats)
• Housing Authority --5-year term
• Recreation Commission -- 3-year term

Town Meeting Member seats:

Precinct 1: 3-year term (6 seats)

Precinct 1: 2-year term (1 seat)*

Precinct 2: 3-year term (6 seats)

Precinct 2: 2-year term (2 seats)*

Precinct 3: 3-year term (6 seats)

Precinct 4: 3-year term (6 seats)

Precinct 5: 3-year term (6 seats)

Precinct 6: 3-year term (6 seats)

Precinct 7: 3-year term (6 seats)

Precinct 7: 2-year term (1 seat)*

*To fill seats appointed during the year

Registered voters living in Burlington who would like to run for an open seat or become a Town Meeting Member, can pull nomination papers from the clerk’s office.
