Obituary: John M. Giglio Sr.

John M. Giglio Sr. of Stoneham, MA passed away on November 25, 2025. He was a resident of Burlington for 23 years.

John M. Giglio, Sr., of Stoneham, Massachusetts, passed away surrounded by the family he cherished above all else. Born in 1949, living as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, John built his life around forgiveness, faith, laughter, and encouragement —gifts he shared freely with everyone he met.

John was the beloved husband of Bonnie Ann Giglio, his lifelong partner and constant companion. He was the proud and loving father of five children and their spouses. Rachel & Michael Tammaro, Anthony & Courtney Giglio, John & Sarah Giglio, Rebecca & Aaron Little, and Jessica & Efrem Gonzales, each of whom carries forward their father’s gifts.

He was a treasured grandfather to ten grandchildren: Ashley, Michael, Hailey, Matthew, Kamdyn, Jayson, Brady, Alexa, Gianna, and Carmela, and a delighted great-grandfather to two great grandchildren: James and Emmaline. John also leaves behind his dear sister and brother-in-law, Sandra & Lenny Coronella and his loved sister-in-law Joyce Giglio along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

John had an extraordinary gift for putting others at ease and making them know they were valued. He was a talker who loved music, a good joke, and any opportunity to make people laugh. His humor lifted spirits and created memories that his family will treasure forever. Just as important was his faith; John never missed a chance to share the love of Jesus with anyone willing to listen offering encouragement, comfort and hope.

John will be remembered for his generous heart, his contagious laughter, and his boldness to share the gospel of Jesus with those he knew and met. His legacy lives on in the family he adored, in the many lives he touched and in the encouragement he so freely gave.

We rejoice in knowing he is finally laughing with Jesus.

All are invited to share in a Remembrance Service on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Church, 105 Haverhill Street, North Reading, MA 01864.
