Police: Assault and Battery on a Person Over 60 Arrest; Hit and Run; TVs Stolen

BURLINGTON, MA - Excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Thursday, Dec. 29

At 9:17 a.m., hit and run in the area of Bedford Street and Cambridge Street. Caller reported being involved in a mv hit and run. Suspect left without paper exchange. Vehicle towed. Mohammed Mostak Hossain, of Burlington, arrested on assault and battery on a person over 60, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and state highway violation.

At 1:29 p.m., road hazard in area of Blanchard Road and Muller Road. Report of water filling up onto street. DPW notified.

At 1:31 p.m., past theft at Pearle Vision.Four pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses valued at $228 each stolen.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

At 12:36 p.m., hit and run in area of Harvard Vanguard Medical offices on Wall Street. Reporting party stated vehicle was possibly being hit by plow while in doctors office.

At 1:15 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Cambridge Street. Citation issued for inspection sticker violation.

At 1:19 p.m., walk-in reported his property on Burlington Street, which had caught fire in Nov., and was deemed unsafe to live in on that date. Sometime within the last two weeks, property owner reported that someone entered the property and stole two 40-inch TV’s, one 36-inch TV,1 30-inch TV, one Bose wave radio and 25 framed silver dollars.
