Police: Bomb Threat Reported, Over $1K in Underwear Stolen and Turkey with Arrow in Neck

Burlington Police Department logs for March 27 to 28.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 27

  • At 9:37 a.m. a Brown Avenue caller reported a former girlfriend was harassing him.
  • At 11:08 a.m. a woman came to the station to report someone had used her credit card without permission.
  • At 11:14 a.m.a Baron Park Lane caller reported someone put sugar in the gas tank of her vehicle. She said she noticed white crystals in the gas tank opening and police observed the same.
  • At 2:26 p.m. police issued a summons to a Framingham man on a charge of uttering a false prescription. Summons issued following a complaint by the CVS at 34 Cambridge St.
  • At 3:54 p.m. a Brookline Bank branch manager reported a suspicious male possibly casing the bank. Suspect described as a white male, kind of heavy set, approximately 40 years old wearing all black and a knitted type hat. Male entered vehicle as a passenger.
  • At 5:59 p.m. a caller on Route 128 reported a white truck entered the southbound side of the highway but was driving north. State Police unable to locate.  
  • At 6:07 p.m. Police issued a summons to a Dorchester woman on a charge of larceny over $250. Summons issued after Lord & Taylor loss prevention reported a female shoplifter who allegedly took approximately $670 worth of clothing. 

March 28

  • At 11:49 a.m. a caller at Memorial Elementary School reported an out of control truck driver.
  • At 11:58 a.m. a caller on Wilmington Road reported his vehicle was struck by a BB gun or pellet gun while it was being operated. Damage to driver's side windshield.
  • At 2:05 p.m. a caller from Burlington Cold Cut Center reported a private phone line called in a bomb threat. Police checked location and deemed it secure.
  • At 3:54 a.m. a Burlington Police Department detective reported recovering stolen jewelry from Gold Rush in the Burlington Mall.
  • At 3:57 p.m. a Paula Street caller reported three dirt bikes riding up and down the street and rode off a neighbor's lawn. Very minor damage to the lawn. Police checked area but dirt bike riders were gone.
  • At 5:23 p.m. a Stonebrook Farms caller reported seeing a turkey with arrow through it's neck. The bird was gone when police arrived.
  • At 6:29 p.m. a Victoria's Secret manager reported that at about 3:13 p.m. a woman stole $1,740 worth (120 pairs) of Dream Angel panties and walked out of the store.
