Police Logs: Homeowner Reports Male Dancing on Their Lawn, Duck Injured by Hawk

Burlington Police Department logs for March 31.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

March 31

  • At 12:14 a.m. a Baron Park Lane caller reported a loud party in a neighboring apartment. Police contacted management and they said a television was playing loudly. Police entered the apartment with management and found nobody home and turned off the T.V.
  • At 3:26 a.m. a caller at Middlesex Turnpike Shell reported two intoxicated males acing up towards customers and staff. Both males were advised to stay away from the business as they wait for rides home.
  • At 12:03 p.m. a Mallard Way caller reported a hawk attacked a duck in her backyard and the duck is injured. Animal Control notified.
  • At 12:58 p.m. a manager at the Cheesecake Factory reported a male customer had two drinks and left without paying.
  • At 2:24 p.m. a caller at the Burlington Marriott reported a black male trying to get into parked vehicles. Employee said they saw the man checking if vehicles were locked.
  • At 6:13 p.m. a Westwood Street caller reported a black car pulled up in front of their home and then the driver got out and danced on their lawn. Police spoke with registered owner of the vehicle who said his son had the vehicle and and he would speak to him and tell him to stop dancing on lawns.
  • At 7:36 p.m. a Francis Wyman Road caller reported a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. Operator checked ok, according to the report. He was trying to find a place to pull over so his wife could calm down their crying baby.
  • At 7:36 p.m. Milford N.H. police requested Burlington Police assist in seizing firearms at a Wilmington Road residence belonging to an arrestee they have in custody. A restraining order requests firearms be confiscated. Police confiscated two firearms to be logged for safe keeping.
