Police Logs: Man Arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Report of Suspicious Male Taking Pictures of Kids

Burlington Police Department logs for April 29 to 30.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

April 29

  • At 10:23 a.m. a Hope Street caller reported some items were taken from a table left on her yard for a yard sale sometime overnight. Small yard equipment stolen.
  • At 1:10 p.m. a caller on Middlesex Turnpike reported a motor vehicle accident with a motorcycle. According to report a vehicle pulled out of the Shell Gas station and the motorcycle rider laid down his bike to avoid injury. Operator transported to Lahey Clinic.
  • At 3:53 p.m. a Hillsdale Avenue caller reported that her home was broken into sometime between 7 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
  • At 5:41 p.m. a Douglas Avenue caller reported a rabid raccoon has been walking around her yard for about 10 minutes. The animal went up a tree and police were unable to tell if it was sick. Advised homeowner to call back when it came down.
  • At 6:38 p.m. the Douglas Avenue caller reported the raccoon had come down. Animal was not sick and was exhibiting normal behaviors.
  • At 8:26 p.m. a caller at Hallmark Gardens reported receiving a text message from an unknown person stating they were coming to kill him. Text was from a Texas number. Police called and got voicemail.

April 30

  • At 3:10 a.m. police arrested Peter J. Marcus, 26, of 53 River St., Apartment #303, Billerica, on charges of disorderly conduct and trespass. Arrest made after Lahey Clinic security requested assistance with removing a visitor from the property.
  • At 8:10 a.m. a Beacon Village resident reported his Sony Playstation was possibly stolen from his apartment.
  • At 10:19 a.m. a caller reported his daughter is being bullied at Fox Hill Elementary and on the school bus and that it is an ongoing issue.
  • At 11:17 a.m. a person came to the station to report that on April 18 someone attempted to open a credit card account with Sears in her name and with her information. No credit card was issued.
  • At 2:46 p.m. a caller from Lahey Clinic reported a patient is being harassed by an ex-girlfriend. Patient said his former girlfriend keeps texting and sending Facebook messages to him even though he asked her to stop. Police requested Plymouth Police go speak with her about it.
  • At 5:03 p.m. a Birchcrest Street caller reported that someone had caller her and stated they were coming to arrest her. Police advised her it was a prank call and to call back if someone actually showed up.
  • At 6:31 p.m. a caller stated that he observed a white male in his late 30s with long dark hair and a mustache behind Market Basket and it appeared he was taking pictures of children. When the caller approached the suspicious male the man claimed he was a police officer but would not show identification. Suspicious male left in a blue Honda.
