Police Logs: Man in Vehicle at Elementary School Seen Taking Pictures of Kids at Recess

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
April 1
- At 12:39 p.m. a Stoneybrook Road caller reported mailing a check for $275 for what they now believe is a flam flam fraud. Check was mailed to a company in California.
- At 4:20 p.m. a custodian at Memorial Elementary School reported that at about 1 p.m. there was a gold motor vehicle in the back of the school with a male party taking picture of children during recess.
- At 7:54 p.m. police issued a summons to a Winthrop woman on a charge of sexual conduct for a fee. Summonsed issued following a Drug Unit investigation.
April 2

- At 1:06 a.m. police issued a summons to a Worcester man on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Summons issued following a motor vehicle stop.
- At 11 a.m. a Lexington Street caller reported a two-foot tall statue of a girl kicking a soccer ball was taken from their lawn overnight. The statue was valued at about $200 and weighed about 50 pounds.
- At 1:24 p.m. a Westwood Street caller reported someone opened a Sears credit card in his name in December of 2011 and used it for a $380 charge.
