Police Logs: Man Passed Out in Vehicle Arrested for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle

Burlington Police Department logs for May 3 to 4.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

May 3

  • At 5:59 a.m. police issued a summons to a Woburn man on charges of failure to stop/yield, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle (subsequent offense).
  • At 2:47 p.m. a manager from Accurate Auto reports that when one of his workers was driving on Wilmington Road someone from another vehicle threw and ice coffee at the vehicle.
  • At 5:26 p.m. a caller reported two vehicles stopped on Cambridge Street and one male as outside his vehicle yelling at the driver of the other vehicle. Both vehicles were done when police arrived.
  • At 6:21 p.m. Inspector Redfern reported taking a report of a past theft of an iPad at Burlington High School.
  • At 7:19 p.m. a manager at Best Buy reported a past theft of  a laptop. Suspect fled in a red Dodge pick-up and went north on Route 95.
  • At 7:34 p.m. a Panera Bread manager reported an intoxicated male in the store. Male was in his mid 40s and was wearing a blue hoodie, green hat, blue jeans and a red back pack.

  • At 9:11 a.m. police arrested John Sullivan, 33, of 270 Oakland Avenue, Methuen, on a charge of using a motor vehicle without authority. Arrest made after a caller at the Burlington Mall reported a male passed out in a vehicle. Methuen Police notified Burlington Police that the vehicle was reported stolen.
  • At 11:14 a.m. a caller reported that his mother purchased $3,000 in cosmetics from Deep Sea Cosmetics in the mall and he believes the seller took advantage of her. Police advised them to come to the station with his information but never showed.
  • At 6:32 p.m. police issued a summons to a Dracut woman on charges of allowing improper operation of a motor vehicle and no inspection sticker. Police also arrested Victor Dumeng-Dumey, 40, of 72 Greenmont St., Apartment 1, Dracut, on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Arrest made after a motor vehicle stop.
