Police Logs: Theft From Strorage Unit, Coyote Siting Reported

Burlington Police Department logs for May 1 to 2.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

May 1

  • At 8:58 a.m. a Network Drive caller reported a hit and run accident. Caller stated another vehicle rear-ended him causing minor damage.
  • At 11:38 a.m. a Farms Drive caller said someone may have let his cat out of his house by opening the door sometime after midnight last night. Unable to locate cat.
  • At 12:31 p.m. police issued a summons to a Haddon Township, N.J. on a charge of threatening to commit a crime. Summons issued after a Burlington woman reported being threatened by a former boyfriend.
  • At 1:31 p.m. a South Bedford Street caller reported a mulch fire. A tiny mulch fire was extinguished before police arrived.
  • At 3:13 p.m. a Cresthaven Drive caller reported a full sized coyote is running around the neighborhood. Police checked area but could not locate.
  • At 5:49 p.m. a Francis Wyman Road caller said that packages that UPS said were delivered to her home were not there. UPS was notified and will track.
  • At 7:23 p.m. a caller reported a child about 14-years-old panhandling on Middlesex Turnpike. Child was gone when police arrived.
  • At 7:42 p.m. a Littles Brook CT caller reported a past theft from his storage unit. Two laptops and one child's seat stolen sometime in past two months.

  • At 6:18 a.m. a Skelton Road caller reported a blue car knocked over his trash.
  • At 2:11 p.m. a Ray's Barber Shop caller reported a male customer stated he would return to pay for a haircut after it was done but never returned. Suspect described as white male in his 20s.
