Police Logs: Woman Arrested for Assault and Battery, Neighbor Reported After Sign Run Over

Burlington Police Department logs for June 2 to 3.

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

June 2-

  • At 10:26 a.m. a woman came to the station to report that someone told her they had kidnapped her brother and threatened harm is she did not get money from the ATM. Two of three brothers located. The third was possible at Mass in Billerica. Billerica Police to follow up.
  • At 2:04 p.m. a caller at Lord & Taylor reported a mulch fire. Burlington Fire Department extinguished the fire. There were two other mulch fires at the Burlington Mall throughout the day that the fire department handled.
  • At 6:08 p.m. police arrested Erica Wing-Simonet, 42, of 22 South Bedford St., Burlington, on charges of assault and battery and violating an abuse prevention order.

June 3-

  • At 7:50 a.m. a Julia Connors Drive caller reported a neighbor ran over a sign in their yard. The sign was knocked down by a neighbor's truck and the incident was caught on video. The caller is currently dealing with civil attorneys regarding the neighbor's activities.
  • At 1:21 p.m. a Baron Park Lane caller reported identity theft.
  • At 7:13 p.m. a woman called and reported that her 14-year-old daughter got into a Cadillac with an unknown male and she was worried for her safety. The daughter was returned home.
  • At 8:35 p.m. police arrested a Burlington man on a warrant from another agency.
