Police Logs: Woman Arrested for OUI, Students Report Suspicious Van at Bus Stop

Following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Department log. Note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
April 8
- At 8:38 a.m. a caller from Herb Chamber Honda reported that inspection stickers were missing from a machine. 100 inspection stickers worth $650 reported missing.
- At 9:47 a.m. a caller reported that her cell phone was either lost or stolen sometime around March 30 and her employer wants an incident number.
- At 11:54 a.m. a Mountain Road caller reported items were stolen from his motor vehicle that was parked overnight. He said a GPS unit, an iPod Touch and three prescription medications were taken.
April 9

- At 3:23 a.m. police arrested Erin M. Taylor, 38, of 21 Hampden Avenue, Burlington, on charges of operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of property damage and miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violation.
- At 1:42 p.m. a caller from Francis Wyman Elementary School reported two boys saw a suspicious van at their bus stop that morning.
- At 3:07 p.m. a Hart Street caller reported a little black dog loose in the road. The dog was returned to the owner and the owner was issued a written warning.
- At 4:17 p.m. a Mall Road caller reported the past theft of a gold necklace sometime since April 4.
