The results posted <a href="https://www.burlington.org/DocumentCenter/View/19388/Prelim-Results-NOV-15-2025?bidId=" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">on the town's website</a> showed that 4,861 residents voted against the $333 million plan, compared to 2,240 voting for the debt exclusion that would fund the project. The vote on the proposal was held in a special town election over the weekend. <a href="https://homenewshere.com/daily_times_chronicle/news/burlington/article_b6615c3b-03f7-4030-aa6b-69045557f8e1.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The School Committee</a> has applied and been rejected for state reimbursement for the project for 13 years, according to The Daily Times Chronicle. The High School Building Committee recommended an extensive addition-renovation package in September, which was the subject of the recent vote.
