StoryWalk Returns To Burlington Mall

With different book selections each month, the Burlington Public Library's StoryWalk is open now through October.

BURLINGTON, MA — The Burlington Public Library's beloved StoryWalk has returned and is officially open at Burlington Mall, Library Director Michael Wick announced Wednesday.

Until StoryWalk closes in October, families can follow the pages of the featured children's books through Burlington Mall. A different story will be featured each month, starting with The Year We Learned to Fly by Jacqueline Woodsen, about the strength and resilience children hold within their imaginations.

  • July: Blueberry Cake by Sarah Dillard
  • August: Pete the Cat: Firefighter Pete by James Dean
  • September: Eyes that Kiss in the Corners by Johanna Ho
  • October: Shubh Diwali by Chitra Soundar

The event was "incredibly popular" last year, Wick said. "We are pleased to bring it back for a second year."

The Library and Mall are also partnering for another event series, Story & Art, an outdoor art class for children. The sessions will run 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on three Wednesdays, June 22, July 27 and August 24 in The Park at Burlington Mall. No registration is required.
