Today is Monday, April 8. Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • Sunny and warm: Ok, Spring, now we're talking. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 65 degrees. Chance of showers tonight after 1 a.m. Otherwise cloudy with a low around 47 degrees. 
  • Public meetings: The Board of Selectmen is meeting at 6 p.m. (special time) in the main hearing room at Town Hall. The Recreation Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. in the meeting room at Burlington High School.
  • Lego Club: The Burlington Public Library is hosting a Lego Club for children in grades K to 6 at 3:45 p.m. this afternoon. They supply the Legos, you bring your imagination.
  • Story and crafts: The Library is also holding a story and craft event today for children ages three to six at 11:15 a.m. Come by for a story and a craft based on it.
  • Open House: Ray Avenue KinderCare is holding an open house from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. all this week. "We offer six different age-specific, kid-approved fun programs that provide your child a head start on becoming a science superstar, construction whiz kid, splash sports expert, time traveling specialist, or garden-growing green thumb," the event states.
