Is Upper Crust Pizzeria Coming to Burlington?
It's official, the well-known pizza chain will soon have a new location right here in Burlington next week.

BURLINGTON, MA - Upper Crust is opening a pizzeria right here in Burlington.
A Burlington location is coming next week to Mall Road, company officials confirmed with Burlington Patch on Tuesday.
Upper Crust is set to open on Monday, April 11 in the former Yeh Frozen Yogurt location in town.

Company CFO Ben Deb says Burlington will be the chain's seventh location in Massachusetts and the decision to open in Burlington was an easy one.
"It’s an up and coming area with lots of develop over there and to be honest, we didn’t see too much pizza there," Deb said. "There's a lot of dine in restaurants but as far something like our concept maybe one or two in that entire market."

In 2012 and 2013 several of the chain's locations closed after the company faced financial difficulties. At the time company officials filed for bankruptcy protection.
Deb explains Upper Crust's new ownership took over in 2013 and they are planning on even more expansion into markets in Greater Boston, Washington D.C. and Metro Los Angeles. Another new location is set to open in D.C. in late April.
Upper Crust Pizzeria currently has six locations in Massachusetts: Beacon Hill, Brookline, Cambridge, Lexington, South End and Wellesley, as well as a location in Arlington, VA, Beverly Hills and Washington, D.C.
