Vehicle Reported Stolen from Auto Shop

Tuesday, July 29

· At 10:47 a.m. a two-year-old boy fell and hit his head on Littles Brook Court. The boy was conscious but bleeding from his forehead.

· At 2:34 p.m. a motor vehicle theft was reported from an auto body shop on Moran Ave. The owner of the business said a Mazda was stolen sometime on July 27. Lowell Police reported towing the vehicle recently and they were holding it in one of the tow yards. The same business reported a stolen number plate from a vehicle. It appears the plates were attached to the stolen vehicle.

· At 7:39 p.m. Lahey Hospital and Medical Center staff reported that a patient was threatening security and hospital staff with a piece of glass and was barricaded in a room. Upon police arrival, the suspect was sitting in a chair, agitated but cooperative. After speaking with the subject, they agreed to come out of the room and the person was secured by Lahey staff without incident.

Wednesday, July 30

· At 10:48 a.m. a caller reported the theft of a park bench from outside their business sometime overnight.

· At 6:30 p.m. a domestic incident in progress was reported on Harriett Ave., but officers were unable to locate the suspect. Derek W. Tucker, 44, of 16 Harriett Ave., Burlington, was located by Bedford Police, arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Thursday, July 31

· At 1:27 p.m. a business owner on Middlesex Turnpike reported $389 in bad checks received. A Chelmsford woman was summonsed for uttering a false check.

· At 10:19 p.m. a manager at Town Pantry reported that someone tried to break the window by throwing a rock at it sometime overnight.

Friday, August 1

· At 12:48 p.m. a Middlesex Turnpike caller reported receiving a threatening phone call from a person saying he was holding his brother hostage. The caller confirmed that his brother is fine and at home.
