We had a terrific response to the call out for pet photos. It was a close call, as each pet was special in his or her own way. Thank you for your submissions and for your votes.

Voting closed at 9am; votes cast after the deadline were not counted.

This is part of Patch’s summer Picture of the Week series, where we’re asking you for your best pictures on a certain topic each week.

We’ve added a little incentive. The winning submission will get a $75 gift card, plus bragging rights.

We’ll be taking photo submissions each week from 9 a.m. Tuesday through noon Friday. 

On Tuesday, July 31, be sure to check back at 9 am for our next contest, which will be Sunsets/Sunrises. Start snapping your photos if you don't have a sunset or sunrise picture on hand.
