5 Things: Comic Book Day, Burying Ground Cleanup
Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on May 3 in Charlestown.

1. Sunny: Today will be sunny with a high near 60 degrees and a low around 44, according to the National Weather Service. Weekend forecast: Saturday and Sunny will be clear and sunny with highs in the low 60s and lows around 43 degrees.
2. Comic Book Day: Drop by the Charlestown Branch Library (179 Main St.) this Saturday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick up a free comic book. Come early to get one while supplies last. For more information, visit www.freecomicbookday.com.
3. Park cleanup: The Charlestown Preservation Society invites its members and the public to help with a spring cleanup of the Phipps Street Burying Ground (25 Phipps St.) and Preservation Park this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Enjoy rare access to the burying ground while helping to keep it looking great. Tools and trash bags will be provided, but participants should bring gardening shears, spades and work gloves. Following the cleanup, intuitive consultant MaryLee Trettenero will discuss how she has been using local historic sites in her spiritual investigations and share some of her discoveries.

4. One Fund concert: A benefit concert supporting the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Old South Church (645 Boylston St.). Musicians from Boston University and other conservatories will unite in a program of classical music promoting reflection, healing and strength. Admission is free, and all donations will aid recovering victims via The One Fund Boston.
5. Free YMCA workshops: The YMCA of Greater Boston, including the Charlestown location, is offering free fitness workshops, nutritional seminars, shoe fittings and more to help Boston residents get and stay active, including Cycling 101, yoga and other workshops scheduled this Saturday. Non-members who sign up for Y membership on free workshop days pay a $0 joiner fee, and get $10 Y Bucks to use toward Y programs. The workshops are free and open to the community. RSVP is required for workshops and can be completed online at www.ymcaboston.org/starthere.
