5 Things: Student Art Show, Book Giveaway
Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on May 30 in Charlestown.

1. Student art show: Artwork by students at the Warren-Prescott Elementary School will be on display tonight at StoveFactory Gallery in Charlestown (523 Medford St.). The “May Flowers” Art Show will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
2. Book giveaway: Today at the Charlestown Branch Library (179 Main St.), musician Jay Mankita will perform for children, with a Reading is FUNdamental book giveaway following the performance.
3. Learn more about SHARP: Want to make a difference in Charlestown by increasing testing for HIV, STIs and hepatitis? The SHARP program at the MGH Charlestown HealthCare Center is the program for sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis, and HIV assessment, referral and prevention. Learn how you can become involved with the program during a free buffet-style lunch today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at D'Eddy Restaurante (156 Bunker Hill St.).

4. Rising tide discussion: Join The Boston Harbor Association’s Julie Wormser for a discussion on "Preparing for Climate Change and the Rising Tide" today at 7:30 p.m. at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (300 First Ave.). The event is free and open to all.
5. Parade fundraiser: A fundraiser to benefit the Bunker Hill Day Parade will be held tonight from 5:30-8 p.m. at Grasshopper Café (229 Bunker Hill St.). A donation of $25 will include raffles and refreshments. Tickets will be available at the door.
