Five things to know about Bunker Hill celebrations this weekend.

Today is Friday, June 10. Here are five things you should know about Charlestown Pride Weekend.

1. Don’t get towed. City crews have already put special event signs up around the neighborhood, but we’ve got a run down of what streets will be closed during the parade route on Sunday. Don’t get towed – and don’t let your visiting friends and family get towed either. For a full listing of where not to park, plus the parade route, click here.

2. Do support local businesses. Especially during the 5th Annual Charlestown Open Market. Thanks to the Chamber of Commerce, we’ve got a list of vendors (and what they’re vending) at this year’s market. They’ll be set up between West School and Austin streets between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday. To see who’ll be there, click here.

3. Don’t drink in public. Officials are serious about this. The Bunker Hill Parade Committee and Charlestown Against Drugs have specifically asked local officers to enforce a no drinking ordinance. Anyone caught drinking will first get a warning and if they persist, they’ll be arrested on site.

4. Remember – there are several events scheduled over the next couple of days. On Saturday, there’s the, the , the , the and the . And it’s not just the parade on Sunday – there’s also the and the Bunker Hill Day breakfast.

5. This is about history. All day Saturday in Monument Square, historic re-enactors will be on site to remind you of that. Stop by for a bit of or a .
