Charlestown Resident Receives State Citation

Revenue Commissioner Amy Pitter today announced that Celine Jackson is one of 28 Department of Revenue employees who earned a Citation for Outstanding Performance from the Patrick Administration for their work on developing a new tax appeal mediation program.

For the past 29 years, state leaders have recognized public employees and work teams who have made meaningful contributions to Executive Branch agencies and departments.

“I am so proud of the employees who are being honored for their special accomplishments,” Commissioner Pitter said. “Their work shows a strong commitment to public service and an extraordinary work ethic.”

Jackson, a Charlestown resident, and other members of the DOR mediation team received the Citation for Outstanding Performance for developing a new pilot program to fast-track certain tax appeals and bring them to settlement within weeks through mediation.

“I am very grateful for the recognition,” said Jackson who has been with DOR for seven years as tax counsel.

Performance Recognition Program

This program gives formal recognition to Commonwealth employees who make meaningful contributions, which distinguish them from their peers.
