The Charlestown Neighborhood Council and CNC Development Committee will be hosting a meeting on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Spaulding Hospital on First Avenue, to discuss the Spaulding transportation plans for the parking and shuttle service for patients and employees accessing the new hospital site.
In addition, the public is invited to tour the new facility at 6 p.m., prior to the start of the community meeting. All interested parties should be in the lobby at 6 p.m. sharp.

As part of the development review process, Spaulding committed to presenting a comprehensive transportation plan to the community prior to commencing operations in the new facility.
Further, as part of the new facility Spaulding will operate a cafeteria on the first floor that will be open to the public as part of their compliance with the waterfront activation requirements. This cafeteria requires a license from the City of Boston. Spaulding will present their request to the community for support in the application for this license.

Finally, as part of the development approval process Spaulding committed to returning to the community to present a proposed contribution to the Charlestown Mitigation fund and Community Benefits programs in Charlestown.
Representatives of Spaulding Hospital will provide information related to these issues at the Feb. 25 meeting.
