USS Constitution Museum To Host Educators' Seminar

How much does the average person know about the War of 1812?

Chances are that most people have very little knowledge about this obscure and mostly forgotten war in American History. However, this summer, 80 educators from across the nation will have the chance to gain a better understanding of "Mr. Madison's War" through "USS Constitution and the War of 1812," a week-long seminar funded by a National Endowment for the Humanities Landmarks of American History and Culture Grant awarded to the USS Constitution Museum.

This opportunity will allow educators to learn about one of the more important turning points in America's history, during the Bicentennial anniversary of the War of 1812. Educators receive a $1,200 stipend to help pay for expenses.
