Bunker Hill Community College to Welcome Author, Speaker for Veterans Day Event
Rye Barcott will be on hand to speak in Charlestown on Thursday, Nov. 6.

Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown plans to host a special event next week in honor of Veterans Day, during which attendees will be greeted by veteran, social entrepreneur, author and TED Conferences Fellow Rye Barcott.
Barcott is the author of “It Happened on the Way to War: A Marine’s Path to Peace,” and also co-founded Carolina For Kibera, a non-governmental group that aims to “break cycles of violence and extreme poverty,” according to BHCC. He plans to speak about how small groups of people can work together to make an impact.

The event will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6 at the BHCC Charlestown Campus, 250 New Rutherford Ave. To register for the event, click here.
