Capuano Still Contemplating Senate Bid
The Congressman from Somerville has given himself a deadline of 'the end of the summer' to decide whether he'll make another run for Senate.

Today is Tuesday, Aug. 30. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. The Congressman from Somerville is still debating whether he'll run for Senate. Capuano, according to reports, has given himself a deadline of "the end of the summer" to decide whether he'll vie (again) for a chance to represent Democrats in a race for the late Ted Kennedy's seat. Of course, these days, that seat belongs to Scott Brown. Here's a question: if it's a matter of Elizabeth Warren (a Harvard economist), Alan Khazei (a Brookline entrepreneur) and Bob Massie (a Somerville activist) or Capuano running for the Dems -- who would Charlestown vote for?
2. The Charlestown Chamber of Commerce is amping up for some fall events. Sign up for a spot at the October Open Market -- we've got and you can also visit charlestownbusiness.com for a vendor application.
3. And on the topic of fall events, don't forget that Art in the Park is just around the corner. Put it in your calendar! Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. -- more than 65 artisans in City Sqare.
4. This is cute. A little web site that will "translate" web pages or chunks of text into "Boston." Be sure to click the Boston option and plug in your own URL or words. For a little taste, you can see what Patch looks like after going through this translation. It's very subtle.
5. We're in for another glorious day: Sunny, clear with a high of 81. Enjoy.
