Celebrate the Solstice in the Navy Yard
Friends of the Navy Yard and other local organizations are hosting a summer solstice party on Tuesday at Shipyard Park.

Today is Monday, June 20. Hope you all had a great Father's Day Weekend. Here are five things you need to know today.
1. Tomorrow is the summer solstice. It's the longest day of the year -- 17 hours and 49 seconds of daylight, to be exact. To celebrate, the Friends of the Navy Yard, along with several other local sponsors, are hosting a . The fun starts at 5:30 p.m. -- there will be music, entertainment and ice cream. For free. Families are encouraged to stop by. For more info, click .
2. A few months back I mentioned a rumor about Sorelle's opening another cafe in Boston. The rumor was confirmed last week. According to a post on Universal Hub, Sorelle owner Marc Perelman went before the city's Licensing Board last week, seeking a permit for the new location at 282 Congress St., near South Station. Perelman said the cafe will have 16 seats inside and 14 outdoors. The board granted him the license. Now he's got to get the OK from the city's Public Improvement Commission for the outdoor seating.
3. I've got a regular search going in my Twitter feed for Charlestown. About 99 percent of the time it only turns up reviews of The Town or notes teenagers post about a mall in South Carolina called Charlestown Square. Every once in a while, though, it surfaces a real gem. Last week it led me to these amazing photos -- they capture rigging work on the USS Constitution. Take a look.
4. If you need just a little bit more time to celebrate the Bruins, let me direct you to our , , and -- this is the best part -- demonstrating once and for all that the biggest Bruins fans live in Charlestown.
5. Another glorious day. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
